Basingstoke Club Sport LRNA Survey - Important

“Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council have appointed Continuum Sport and Leisure (Continuum) to support them in reviewing and updating the assessment of needs for Leisure & Recreational Needs, green spaces and community facilities in the borough”. The previous full LRNA for 2015 can be found here.

The Council are committed to planning for the future needs of Basingstoke and Deane residents and to understand how the expected population growth will impact the Boroughs existing facility provision. The Council want sport and leisure facilities to remain a key area for investment and therefore would like to update the needs assessment to ensure the needs and demands for its current and future residents are met. This important piece of research will help to inform the planning for facilities and investment to support sport, physical activity, community activity and green spaces in Basingstoke and Deane over the coming years.

The process for updating the LRNA is a key strategic objective for the Council and for the community of Basingstoke and Deane. The Consultant Team are keen to hear from local sports clubs and organisations to ensure the updated LRNA is directed by local knowledge and insight to ensure the needs of the community are met. This insight will help inform the Consultant Team’s research to help understand the current and future needs to ensure the Council’s investment is directed to enhance the provision in the borough.
