Basingstoke Voluntary Sports Council Update

Basingstoke Voluntary Sports Council have existed for 38 years as a partner organisation with the vibrant Sporting Community of Basingstoke & Deane. We do however require improved support from and interaction with the sporting community to justify our existence alongside gain business support and grant funding to support activities etc. Sporting information for Leagues, Clubs and schools etc is communicated via the website and daily Facebook updates published related to Sport and Health information alongside updates on Sport funding opportunities.

If you access the website you can sign up to our monthly mailing list. http://www.basingstokelsc.org.uk/.../basingstoke.../news/ Our committee also have a monthly update meeting with the Borough Council 'Sports, Health & Wellbeing' team and club representatives are welcome to attend if required. Also, we work in partnership with the B&D School Sports Co-Ordinator and will be improving promotion of local sport into schools after the summer holidays.

Although Facebook pages receive a good number of views, we would really appreciate more interaction from League and Club representatives. Our email is basvsc@outlook.com and we really look forward to improved interaction hopefully with League and Club Secretaries, Coaches, Officials and Volunteer Co-Ordinators.
